What the official pages actually say
The official Steam page for TANUKI: Pon's Summer (developed by Denkiworks, published by CRITICAL REFLEX) lists Windows as its only platform, with the release set for November 10, 2026. The console versions exist separately, but the only Switch-related confirmation from the developer is the preorder line quoted above, which refers to digital preorders on the eShop for both Switch and Switch 2.
Two points follow from that for a physical buyer:
- Nothing on the developer's announcements — including the release date post — mentions a boxed copy, retail partner, or collector's edition. As of 2026-11-05, no physical release has been announced for Switch or any other platform.
- Because the game has not launched yet (it is still marked "coming soon" ahead of November 10, 2026), a retail edition could be announced after launch. Publishers sometimes announce physical runs later, so a boxed copy is not ruled out — it simply has not been revealed in anything the developer has posted so far.
